Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (COM) and under direct supervision of the Senior Programme Assistant (SPA), the PA will assist the Counter Trafficking Unit (CTU) with the implementation of the CT regional and country-specific projects.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
Assist the Senior Programme Assistant on overall implementation of IOM Counter-trafficking activities (all active projects);
Collect and provide necessary information and arrange daily organizational, reporting, implementation of all programmatic aspects at the national level;
3. Assist in monitoring, and supporting the timely implementation of program-related activities and keeping the Senior Program Assistant and COM informed on the status of implementation of each activity;
4. Make recommendations for the improvement of implementation and monitoring of the activities;
5. Assist in public information campaigns while ensuring programmatic visibility;
6. Assist in planning, coordination, facilitation and arrangements to successfully conduct events under the programs, such as training, seminars / conferences, meetings, presentations and others;
7. Participate in the development of capacity building training and awareness-raising resource materials;
8. Manage distribution of information materials, including brochures, posters, video and audio products;
9. Prepare information dissemination plans and reporting as well as contract NGOs to distribute information materials;
10. Coordinate the delivery of specialized trainings for the employees of the state institutions on prevention, protection and reintegration of the victims of trafficking;
11. Organize roundtables, conferences, seminars, awareness-raising campaigns (concert, theatre performances) related to trafficking in persons, including networking and identifying/inviting facilitators and participants, administrative tasks, preparation of modules, conference and seminar reports;
12. Prepare monthly and quarterly comprehensive narrative progress reports on project realization in a timely fashion;
13. Coordinate and monitor NGO partners’ activities (financial and narrative);
14. Ensure mainstreaming of gender, protection and human rights based approach and other pertinent cross-cutting issues into programming;
15. Assist in drafting success stories, press releases and other promoting materials;
16. Be familiar with international and domestic legislation framework in the sphere of migration and counter trafficking in persons;
17. Advise NGOs capacity building interventions;
18. Perform other duties as assigned by COM and SPA.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Completed bachelor or master’s degree from an accredited academic institution, preferably in Law, International Relations, Social Science, Public Administration or a related discipline;
Three to five years of progressively responsible work experience in foreign assistance projects design/management
Experience in data analysis and drafting reports on project activities;
Experience in data collection, conducting monitoring and evaluation of programmatic activities and writing report on them;
Experience in one of the organizations of the UN Common System and field experience are a distinct advantage;
Work experience on counter trafficking preferably in an international, non-profit environment is an advantage.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and SharePoint.
Previous work experience in international organizations and companies would be an advantage.
Fluency in English, Tajik and Russian is required.
